It’s been a coon’s age since I last posted anything here, so this will be a 30 second update for anyone interested. The SD County Fires are mostly out now, we survived and my wiff wrote a damn fine description of the whole event. Check it out.

We’ve sold everything we had on eBay and Craigslist and I am really loving the two local Freecycle.org groups I’ve joined. They make it easy to give away things we no longer want, rather than sending more crud into the landfills.

Halloween was a hoot – we hung out with the wiff’s Bro and sis in law and their cute 3 yo. We walked around the hood, tricked and treated and had a good time. If only I had some way to show you the pix and vids we made that night? I’ll have to invent some new technology to do that ASAP…

Our house and backyard are starting to look almost sell-able now. A bit more clean up, some new grass and we should be all set to list the dang thing by January sometime.

My big service project with the Kiwanis each year is in full swing. The 4th Annual Kiwanis Club of San Marcos Food Drive is on, and in fact, we only have one more weekend to go now. We’ve collected over 2,000 pounds of food already, easily beating our previous record. We’ll be at the Vons in SM if anyone wants to donate still, or just come hang out with me and beg for food from strangers for a few hours. ;)

I think that’s everything that’s going on now.
