It’s official
We received notice today saying that our adoption agency, CCAI, has received notice that the Chinese Adoption people, CCAA, have received our dossier. In other words, we wait and wait and wait some more now. The letter we received says the current wait about 10 months.
Ugh.
So, what’s new with you all? Is this picture real or a photo-fake?
Taiwan is…
sooooooooooo cool. I loved the flight here in business class (leg room!) and the people are really nice. The flavor of the food is a bit off sometimes but I think I could get used to that. I’ve had sushi and chinese (duh) and a lot of food I really don’t know what it was. (Find the picture in the gallery of the fruit. First person to tell me what all those fruits are wins a prize. Seriously, I had no idea)
The group we’re meeting with is great and gives us free lunches even. They get money from the govt of Taiwan and spend it rese3arching all sorts of cool tech innovations. Whenever they come up with something new, they give that tech to a private Taiwanese company and they commercialize it. They work on all sorts of things including nano tech, wireless comm, and fuel cells. I learned a lot from these people and had a lot of fun.
Here’s a 41 second (4 MB) video of the busy streets right in front of my hotel.
Here are some pictures in the photo album: My Taiwan album.
Going to Taiwan
I am going to be working in Taiwan soon, for these people.
I’m super excited and will post my pics here when I get back.
